Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer

The interesting thing about the Artemis Fowl books is that they never get old. The Time Paradox is the sixth in a series that show no signs of stopping anytime soon, but though many series seem to recycle the same story over and over again, Artemis Fowl has yet to fall into that trap.
In The Time Paradox, Artemis and his erstwhile companions, well, go back in time. And do some cool technological stuff. Artemis is smarmy, but endearingly so, and Holly is as tough and sarcastic as always. For me, this is like the book version of ice cream. Maybe that's weird, I don't know. But it's entertaining, I don't have to think about it too much, there are exciting gadgets, and the bad guys always get pwned in the end. Er, not that there are any gadgets or bad guys in ice cream. Oh, you know what I mean.
So, if you like Artemis Fowl, put this book at the top of your pile. If you don't like Artemis Fowl, then you're obviously crazy. Who doesn't like Artemis Fowl? I mean, really.

Happy about Artemis, attempting to kidnap fairies, and yours,

PS Yes, dystopian fortnight is still happening. Yes, it has been going on for over a fortnight. I'm sure you'll all live.

I dunno, I do tend towards dystopia withdrawal.

I love Eoin Colfer. Seriously. Artemis Fowl I like, but The Supernaturalist? One of the first books I ever seriously loved. Probably one of my favorite sci-fi books. Really, really love it. The Wish List is great too....

Yeah, I still need to read this one. Sitting in my room and I haven't gotten to it...planning to this weekend though.

Ha...the word verification is "pwnhd"

Though I seem to remember Eoin Colfer saying the sixth was going to be the last book in the series---I guess he might have changed his mind since then, I dunno.

Eoin Colfer is brilliant. I also enjoyed The Supernaturalist and The Wish List greatly. I haven't read that other book though... Airman?

The book version of ice cream? Awesome, I like ice cream... but... which flavor of ice cream, would you say?

OK. Artemis Fowl is one of my favorite series, like, ever.
Now, when I read what The Time Paradox is about, I was a little... concerned. I mean, "his greatest enemy yet-himself"? (I'm not sure about the exactness of the quote.)
Cliche much?
But I decided to read it anyway, of course, if only because of Eoin Colfer's writing ability.

I was very pleasantly surprised. It was interesting, as usual, especially the interaction between Artemis and Holly.
I've gotta say, though, the end was a little too twisty-turny for my taste, rather like The Supernaturalist, which is not my favorite book in the world.

Speaking of Eoin Colfer's other books, I loved The Wish List. Has anyone read Airman?
